Basic Savings

In order to become a member at Police FCU, you must set up a basic savings account - a $5 deposit is required, and once established, you are eligible to apply for and take advantage of all other accounts and services the credit union has to offer.

All accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. government agency.

Money Market Accounts

The Police FCU Money Market Account provides the flexibility* and soundness of a savings account with the added advantage of higher earnings, and with our six-tier system, the more you save, the more you earn.

Start a money market account today with just $250**

The money market earning tiers:

  • Tier One: $250 to $4,999
  • Tier Two: $5,000 to $9,999
  • Tier Three: $10,000 to $24,999
  • Tier Four: $25,000 to $49,999
  • Tier Five: $50,000 to $99,999
  • Tier Six: $100,000 +

*You can withdraw or transfer money to other accounts, up to six times per month (three by paper check).
** A minimum balance of $250 is required to open and maintain the money market account.

Share Certificates

Police FCU share certificates are a risk-free investment option that allows you to earn higher rates on your savings by investing your funds in the credit union for a pre-selected period of time. Club Accounts

Holiday and Club Accounts - You pick the reason, we'll help you save

Need to save for the upcoming vacation, holiday, birthday, special occasion or event? Need a little help with the discipline to put away a little extra money toward that occasion or event? Let Police FCU help - set up a club account and make saving easy!

The Holiday Accounts are special savings accounts that you can make regular deposits to as you wish, and we will help you with the discipline part, as funds must remain in the account until the 1st of November* to get the full benefit of the account. Allotments and direct deposit make saving into this account even easier. Make deposits manually or automatically through payroll deduction - it is like an autopilot for saving toward your goal; you can also make transfers using Online Banking, or through Audio Response - banking by phone.

*If funds are withdrawn prior to November 1st a penalty is imposed, i.e., forfeiture of an amount equal to 90 days dividend, whether earned or not.
